Congratulations to the community members who have campaigned for lighting and other improvements to make the Bay Run safe for everyone.

A Minns Labor Government will make life easier for growing communities across the state by increasing funding in the transport budget for active transport infrastructure with a $60 million investment. 

I will move that this House congratulates everyone that took part in Ride to Work Day.

We’re here at a real moment for active transport: there’s a shared and growing understanding about the importance of giving people options for how they move around our cities and towns. 

On 3 June it is World Bicycle Day, a great reminder of how supporting cycling and alternative modes of transport can transform cities and communities.

The Government continues to ignore the calls from parents and the Petersham Public School community for upgrades to the West Street and Railway Terrace intersection. 

The community at our local schools have had enough of the lack of concern for students on their way to school and the severely insufficient safety measures currently in place.

NSW Labor will commit $700,000 to support Dungog become a world-class biking destination and boost tourism across the Upper Hunter.
