That this House:

1. Notes the dangerous use of local streets by trucks near the Haberfield and Ashfield WestConnex construction sites, including Bland St outside Haberfield Public School.
2. Condemns the Government for failing to commit a pedestrian crossing supervisor to oversee the area and ensure the safety of local children using the crossing, despite a 6-year-old being struck at the pedestrian zone over 6 months ago.
3. Calls on the Government to legislate to ban trucks on local streets, both during and after the construction of the WestConnex Project, in areas that will be affected by cars that drive through residential streets to avoid congested main roads (referred to as 'rat running').
