That this House:

1. Notes the Government's plans to merge all four Inner West Local Area Commands (LACs) of Marrickville, Newtown, Burwood and Ashfield into two, with no consideration of the important local connections and support that these commands provide to our diverse communities.
2. Condemns the Government for not consulting with the community in making this decision.
3. Calls on the Minister for Police to guarantee that there will be no reduction in front-line services or increase in response times, and that all stations will stay open in their current locations and not be sold to developers.
