1 December is World AIDS Day with this year's theme 'Now more than Ever'.

The State Government has abandoned the health of the Canterbury community in the middle of the COVID-19 crisis, failing to invest a single dollar in the State Budget to upgrade Canterbury Hospital.

When managing complex health questions, it is critical that we bring all the voices to the table and chart an approach that gives frontline workers security, while also continuing our good work in stemming the spread of bloodborne viruses and ensuring that those in our community who live with a bloodborne disease are treated with dignity, compassion and respect.

Sixteen Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence commences on 25 November on International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and runs until Human Rights Day on 10 December.

August 31 was International Overdose Awareness Day. The Day seeks to educate the community on how to identify and respond to an overdose and to reduce the stigma associated with overdoses.
