I will move that this House:

(1) Notes the ongoing campaign led by Ashfield residents to improve safety measures at the dangerous intersection at Frederick and John Street, Ashfield, recalling the tragic death of a local resident at this intersection back in March of 2022.

(2) Notes that, after many warnings of the safety risks posed at this intersection, Transport for NSW has begun consultation on proposed options to improve pedestrian safety on Frederick Street.

(3) Calls on the Minister for Metropolitan Roads to listen to the local community and promptly deliver a road safety upgrade for Frederick Street once the consultation is finished.
