A question to the Minister representing the Minister for Early Childhood Education, Aboriginal Affairs and Assistant Minister for Education:
- Are refugees and asylum seekers awaiting their claims to be assessed and not eligible for the Commonwealth’s Childcare Rebate (including those on the Status Resolution Support Services Payments) eligible for support under the Start Strong preschool program?
- What programs or support are available from the NSW Government to assist the children of refugees settled in Australia but without Temporary Protection Visas or Safe Haven Enterprise Visas to attend preschool or access early childhood education?
