Jo Haylen moves that this House:

1. Considers the overwhelming scientific consensus that climate change is real and caused by human activity.
2. Notes that according to the Department of Environment and Heritage, every year since 2000 has seen annual average temperatures increase more than 0.5°C.
3. Calls on the Government to categorically commit to mitigating climate change, despite over 70 per cent of delegates to the recent Liberal state council calling for public debates to contest whether the science was settled.
